Dr. Shawn Behan

DVM

Dr. Shawn is the dedicated Veterinarian and Owner of Corinth Veterinary Clinic. Originally from New Jersey, he pursued his undergraduate and veterinary education at Ohio State University on a National Merit Scholarship, as New Jersey lacked veterinary schools. His connection to Corinth began with annual visits to the Balloon Festival, which later inspired him to purchase a practice in the area while living in Connecticut.

Dr. Shawn’s passion for veterinary medicine was confirmed when he accurately diagnosed Cushing’s disease on an episode of House, MD, before Dr. House himself did. This moment solidified his confidence in his chosen profession and showcased his diagnostic skills.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shawn has a close-knit family and enjoys working alongside his sibling, Dr. Carolyn Behan. He is devoted to adopting senior dogs with medical issues and currently cares for an 8-year-old pug named Sun-Li. In his limited free time, Dr. Shawn enjoys reading, hiking, and swimming, bringing balance to his life and dedication to his patients at Corinth Veterinary Clinic.

The excellent job opportunity at Corinth Veterinary Clinic brought her to this town, where she continues to thrive professionally.

Dr. Carolyn’s love for animals and science began at the tender age of five, affirming her choice in the veterinary profession early on. Outside of her work, she enjoys reading, hiking, and dancing. Family is important to Dr. Carolyn, and she is proud to have a brother, Dr. SB, who shares her medical inclination, along with another brother who has chosen a different path.
